That's a very ignorant argument Tish. For the whole of human history, groups migrate and conquer. Our different languages (with parts borrowed from others), mixed features and DNA is proof of that. The english settlers weren't illigal immigrants, they were invaders who conquered the people of the land and took it for their own. Just like thousands before them. I guess if people were arguing that immigrants deserved terrible jobs, that would be pretty bad. However, the argument was for illegal immigrants, which are people who knowingly break the laws of the country they are trying to enter and assimilate into. I won't say I think they should have terrible jobs - I'm simply stating that your argument is not applicable to the discussion at hand.

If we man up in places such as in certain parts of Mexico, we get killed. The reason many come here is because we are getting to safety. I bet that if the US government killed you for speaking out or for whatever reason, you would try to go to a safe place. The government in my state of birthplace in Mexico is corrupt. My parents came here legally but I had to sneaked in because of the US government did not want me here. Only my parents were allowed to come to the US legally because they could work in jobs that no one wanted... My dad was an engineer in Mexico and my mom worked with machinery so they wanted them here. I had to be brought over by a white American woman who wanted to bring me here. She reunited me with my parents. Don't assume that all illegal immigrants are here because they wanted to be here. Some of us were children who could not speak our minds yet... I was less than a year old when I was brought here by one of your American people.
Also, many people cannot get jobs in Mexico once they are past the age of 25. If one did not finish high school (which one has to pay for education starting from elementary school in some areas) or college then finding a job in Mexico is difficult. There are plenty of other countries that have the same dilemma.
